Salon Brazyl's owner, Tish Hankerson, was approached by ABC Action News in the Tampa Bay market for a news interview. The story pitch was featured Ms. Hankerson during Black Business Week.
Challenges
- Minimal Interview Skills: The client's brand narrative was no clear or concise. The message was easily lost.
- Many Brand Narratives: Client has several brand narratives but for the sake of the interview, it was essential to distinguish which one to focus on.
Solutions
HOW Public Relations conducted media training to prepare Ms. Hankerson for the interview. HOW held a 1:1 video training and strategized her key points, developed questions and answers and gave her practical tips on how to navigate the interview successfully.
Project Results
Following the segment run from morning to the evening shows on ABC Action News, Salon Brazyl has received an exponential amount of phone calls, consultations, booking and conversions. Ms. Hankerson is also confident and her brand narrative is narrow, concise and clear.
